I've always been a HUGE fan of the TCM films.
My rankings:
TCM 1 TCM 2 TCM 3 TCM remake The Beginning The Next Generation
TNG is an abomination to the series. I didn't like one thing about it.
The original is still my favorite. I love the grittiness and raw feel of the film. It was shot ALMOST like a documentary, so you feel as if the events are ACTUALLY taking place
Your opinions?

The original is the best, followed by 2 and 3.
I hate TNG, The Remake, and The Prequel.

I have only seen TCM3 and TCMTNG one time so I don't remember much about them. But I liked TCM1 because it is a definite classic. TCM2 was ok, Dennis Hopper definitely made this movie with his stalking of the family.
I thought the remake and the prequel were pretty good.

I actually liked the remake. I mean, it wasn't GREAT, but it was one of the better remakes, IMO. I definitely don't like it more than the 1st 3.
I love the soundtrack for TCM 3. It has bands like Laaz Rockit and Death Angel on there, so I love it!!! I love the song Leatherface that is playing during the credits( which is performed by the thrash band Laaz Rockit ;D)

I'd love to do a cover version of the song Leatherface.

Hell yeah, bro. As Pat already knows, I have a HUGE obsession with the band Frightmare, who actually did a cover of the song Leatherface. You can hear it here: www.myspace.com/obliveonthrashAs much as I love Frightmare, I prefer Laaz Rockit's version, but theirs is REALLY good too. ;D

The ChoKo version would squash all versions.

What do you guys think about the talk of a third newer version of TCM?

I thought the first one was okay because it helped Leatherface get his name back out there, but quality wise, it couldn't touch Tobe Hooper's Original. My thoughts exactly. The remake was decent, but just doesn't compare to the 1974 version. I wasn't THAT big a fan of The Beginning either, so i'm not REALLY excited about a 3rd one possibly being made.

Yeah I'm not sure if I'm for or against a new TCM movie either yet.

I think there is no TCM like the original, but the sequels (besides Next Gen and The Beginning) are all enjoyable to me. I do feel that the remake is one of the better remakes.

I've never been a huge fan of the original TCM, but it's tolerable for me. Same for TCM2. I actually like TCM3 a lot, more than the first two, but TNG is hands down one of the worst atrocities to ever live.
I much prefer the remake to the original personally, and the prequel isn't bad either although it could be better.
